The restaurant, inaugurated in 2014, is located right at the border of Trieste's old town. The requirement was to increase the existing space, maintaining though themes and leitmotifs already present in the old candy and sweets factory founded in Trieste in 1848 by the Hungarian Eppinger family. The idea of the project was to highlight the minimum dimensions of the room by trying to maximize costumers' accommodation capacity, with maximum flexibility and minimum bulk, creating a perspective effect that simulated a non-existent depth. An important design choice was bringing to light the ancient decorated ceiling, enriching it with a large custom-designed croissant lamp.
